1. Acceptance of these terms

By using Gigowi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use Gigowi if sanctions or local law prevent you from using crypto services.

2. What Gigowi is

Gigowi is a marketplace for advertising space on images. A creator divides an image they control — a profile picture, banner or post — into cells and opens a campaign for a fixed period. Sponsors bid USDC on the Solana network for individual cells and upload the image they want placed there. When bidding closes the creator uses the finished image as promised, posts a link as proof, and claims the funds.

The agreement about the placement is between the creator and the sponsors. Gigowi is not a party to it. Gigowi operates the platform and the escrow accounts, and applies the rules set out below. Gigowi does not promise any level of audience, views, engagement or results, and does not check that a creator owns or controls the image or account they are selling space on.

3. Your account and wallet

Your Solana wallet is your account. You are responsible for keeping your wallet and recovery phrase safe; anyone with them controls your account and your funds. Gigowi cannot recover a lost wallet, reverse a transaction, or restore access to an account. Adding an email address is optional and is used only for notifications.

You do not need SOL to use Gigowi. Creating and publishing a campaign only asks your wallet to sign a message, which costs nothing. Gigowi pays the Solana network fee on every transaction it asks your wallet to sign, including bids, credit purchases and claims, and on every refund it sends. You only need USDC.

4. Escrow and payments

Bids are paid in USDC on Solana into an escrow account belonging to that campaign. The account is controlled by Gigowi, not by the creator, and holds the funds until they are released by the rules below. Gigowi does not accept or hold traditional currency, and does not exchange crypto for money.

Funds leave escrow in only these ways:

  • The creator claims them after posting proof of delivery, less the fees in section 7.
  • A bidder is refunded when they are outbid, when their payment lands after bidding has closed, when the creator does not deliver in time, or when support resolves a campaign in bidders' favour.

Refunds are claimed by the bidder from their account, and are paid to the wallet the bid came from. There is no fee on refunds.

5. Creators: delivery and claiming

After bidding closes you have 7 days to use the finished image where you said you would and post a link showing it in use. Once posted, you can claim the campaign's funds to your wallet by signing one transaction. Reviews from bidders do not affect your claim.

If you do not post proof within 7 days, every winning bid becomes refundable to the bidders and you receive nothing. You must not alter, cover or remove sold cells, or take the image down early, without the agreement of the sponsors in those cells.

6. Sponsors: bidding and content

A bid is a payment, not a reservation: it is sent when you place it and only counts once it is confirmed on Solana. You must bid above the cell's minimum, and above the current bid by the required increment. If someone outbids you, your bid becomes refundable straight away and you are notified.

You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload content that:

  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or sexual;
  • impersonates a person or organisation, or misleads about who is advertising;
  • promotes scams, malware, or anything you are not lawfully allowed to promote.

Gigowi may hide content that breaks these rules without refunding the bid, because the bid pays for the placement. Repeated breaches can lead to an account being suspended.

7. Fees

Gigowi charges 5% of the funds released to a creator, plus a flat 0.25 USDC claim fee. Both are taken when the creator claims. These fees pay for the Solana network fees Gigowi covers across the platform (section 3), so creating, publishing, bidding and claiming need no SOL. There is no fee on refunds.

AI-generated grid layouts are paid for with credits, bought in USDC. Credits are not refundable and not transferable. Editing a grid by hand is free. Fees can change; the fee in force when a campaign is published applies to that campaign.

8. Reviews

Once a creator posts proof of delivery, sponsors who won cells can publicly rate and review how the campaign went. Reviews do not affect whether a creator is paid. They must be honest and must not contain abuse or personal information. Gigowi may remove a review that breaks these rules.

9. Disputes and support intervention

If a campaign looks fraudulent or a delivery is disputed, Gigowi may freeze it before it is claimed while the matter is looked into, and may then either allow the creator to claim or refund the sponsors in full. This is the platform's dispute mechanism and Gigowi's decision on releasing escrowed funds is final. Gigowi does not arbitrate anything else between users.

10. Risks you accept

  • Transactions are irreversible. Payments on Solana cannot be undone by Gigowi or anyone else.
  • Sending funds the wrong way loses them. USDC sent on another network, or to the wrong address, cannot be recovered.
  • Crypto carries price and network risk, including congestion, outages and forks.
  • Everything on-chain is public and permanent, including your wallet address, bids and payouts.
  • Software can fail. Gigowi is a young platform and may contain bugs.

11. Limitation of liability

Gigowi is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Gigowi Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost audience or reputational harm, nor for losses caused by your own wallet, a third party you deal with, or the Solana network. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for fraud.

12. Suspension and termination

Gigowi may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. Funds already owed to bidders remain refundable, and funds already earned by a creator on a delivered campaign remain claimable, unless they are subject to a dispute under section 9.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the platform develops. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use Gigowi after a change means you accept it. Changes do not alter the fee or the rules that applied to a campaign already published.
