1. Information We Collect

We collect personal data to operate the platform efficiently and coordinate development milestones.

  • Account Data: Name, email address, password hashes, and profile bio headlines.
  • Verification Documents: Identity verification documents uploaded during client onboarding or freelancer capability upgrades.
  • Transaction References: We store wallet transaction IDs and customer references from Flutterwave. We do not store raw card credentials or PIN codes on our servers.
  • Integration Scope: GitHub user IDs, project pull request links, and repository metadata for deliverable tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process user information for the following specific purposes:

  • To coordinate project task decomposition and route subtasks to matching developers.
  • To authenticate contributors claiming tasks and verify pull request status.
  • To process escrow payments and execute payouts upon subtask completion.
  • To enforce security controls, prevent platform fraud, and verify card funding.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell user data to advertising networks. Data is shared only with trusted vendors required to perform platform operations:

  • Payment Processors: Flutterwave manages card verifications, wallet balances, and bank payouts securely.
  • Version Control Systems: GitHub integration scopes are accessed exclusively to inspect and verify pull requests for milestone approvals.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain user account details and transaction history as long as the profile remains active. Users can request account deletion at any time by contacting support. Upon account deletion, we remove personal information, except where compliance audits require retention of transactional escrow history.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Gigowi uses strictly necessary session cookies and local storage tokens to keep users authenticated. We do not use third-party marketing trackers or ad retargeting pixels.

6. Security Measures

We implement industrial-standard security protocols, including database encryption, SSL connections, secure server-side API routing, and tokenized JWT auth, to protect your personal details from unauthorized access.
